Can any one please explain the email architecture in dotnet
what exactly will happen after smtpclient.send

When you use smtpclient.send it connects to the smtp server you have specified and sends the email to it for relay on to the destination.
The .net library doesnt actually send emails itself.
I was just reading an interesting article on Lee Dumond's blog recently which explains how to handle some of the exceptions that can be thrown if the email fails to send.
