can anyone tell me what does this line exactly mean "highly distributed, component-based applications"
The .NET Framework defines an environment that supports the development and execution
of highly distributed, component-based applications

and what is CLR (common language run time)i mean why is it Runtime its a compiler right what do we call it runtime
