file upload and rename

hi i need to upload a file thats only jpeg and of restricted height and width and i need to save it into a foleder and replace means overide it with present name of the file so please let me kno i know only little about it
thats how to upload and check the jpeg or not but i dont know how to save the file with the previous named file in specific folder thanking u

Before upload the file to specific folder , check the file exist or not , if exists delete it first , then upload the new file with same name.
