how to encrypt password to sqlserver

hi

how to set password in encrypt format while registering a user with out using login controls.in the same manner how to decrypt that password while login the user

Ideally at the time of logging in you should not decrypt the password but you should encrypt the password entered by the user with the same mechanism you had encrypted while saving and check the value, if both are correct then password is correct else wrong.
