how to get the text of table column header when ever we clicks on in jquery?

Hi All,

I am using the jquery gridview in my application with the following some header columns are DATE, ORDER#, FLAGES, TOTAL,......... etc...., my requirement is when ever user clicks on particular header a message should be displayed with column header text. For example, if we clicks on DATE column header message should display with "DATE" , like this. please let me know how to achieve this in jquery. Any help would be appreciated.
