Start downloading it with the web platform installer. In the middle of the installation it will ask you to restart the computer, please do that because it is needed for the installation process to complete.

You can you also choose web matrix way, that way you will have to use IIS express edition. I am not using the IIS express, so i chose IIS.

First make a empty database in your sqlserver. Because while installing it will ask you the name and the credentials !

Yes Sanjay, create a blank database before installation of the CMS. The db name depends upon you, no restriction !
