what is the differece between wcf and web service?

Hi raj,

Webservice is having the extension .asmx.
WCF is windows communication foundation haveing the extension .svc.

Webservice can be transported only over HTTP
WCF can be transported overy any Protocol.

WCF provides additional new features when compared to a webservice.
