Recently, I got a job as a teacher for .net students in an institute.

I was selected based on my past experience.

I have two years of experience in C/C++ and have done a course on ASP.NET,ADO.NET,SQL Server.

Will teaching be counted as job experience ?

Will i become stagnant just teaching basics ?

I know there is lot more in .net. (CSS3, JavaScript, Jquery, MVC, LINQ, WCF . . .)

Would dearly appreciate Your Inputs.

Dear Pradeep,

Not sure why you have left your Job where you have 2 years of experience in C/C++. This is one of the technology where we have market.

Teaching will not add much of experience but only can fit you into a job easily as you have subject. If you are teaching only the basics then may not add much of value.

I suggest you start working on the latest features of Dot Net and start looking for job. Your C/C++ experience will add some value. Also if you can let me know the reason why you have left your job then I can guide you more.

You can stick to teaching field as well but you should target to a level where you can give corporate training.

I started programming in .Net because I can start to develop Web Apps unlike driver level Programming in C and C ++.

It does not matter if I have a nice job, as i am with a start up now.
I realized it is not just teaching, i get to learn things as well

Good. Here I go with my advice:

1. Make sure that you brush all the .NET advanced concepts and ready
2. Keep your experience as faculty as well in your profile along with your IT experience in C and C++
3. When people asks about why into teaching.. intimate that while learning you notice that you can teach as well and started this while you are learning .NET
4. This will help where people can consider you.
