Sheo's Advice on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 :
Hi Mrinal,

Thanks for asking questions about your career. As far as starting your career in IT sector is concerned, read these posts http://www.dotnetfunda.com/misc/page41.aspx that should clarify almost all your doubts.

These days a lot of technologies are in demand and they are following
  1. .NET - ever green and easy to learn and code
  2. Java - ever green and little tough to learn and code
  3. Database and analytic technologies - BigData, MongoDB, Hadoop etc. Recently a lot of demand for these types of job has popped up and there are great career opportunities. As you are completely new to the software field, so entering into these fields would be suitable for you. However beware about fake institutions and quick courses. Get complete in-depth course and knowledge to be successful.
  4. Q & A and Testing - Career opportunities are decreasing for testing (especially) however Q & A will remain there. If you do not like programming, algorithm and logical calculations perhaps this would be your choice.

Hyderabad and Bangalore both are good cities however general perception is that Bangalore is highly crowded and costly in comparison with Hyderabad so you may decide based on this parameters.

Institutions can only guide you but they do not impart real time knowledge so do not too much depend on institutions to learn but learn yourself online or from books. Whatever you learn do not forget to practice.

Thanks and good luck.
